The province of Girona, is a favorite at both national and international destinations.
The best known area is the Costa Brava, with numerous beaches that stretch along the coast. The province of Girona is composed of eight regions: Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, La Selva, El Ripollès, Garrotxa, Girona, Pla de l'Estany and La Cerdanya. The coastal landscapes alternate with Aiguamolls of Empordà, Cap de Creus and the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone. Bordered on the north by the Catalan Pyrenees, where the ski resorts are perfect for snow tourism. This province has the three most representative museums of the work of surrealist painter Salvador Dalí: the House - Museum of Port - LLigat, Púbol Castle and the Theatre - Dali Museum in Figueres. It also highlights the monuments of the capital, Girona. Its cuisine include products from the land of Alt Empordà and maritime as shrimp Palamós.
